Terms and Conditions

Welcome to the "ETA - Emerging Texas Artists" art exhibition (hereinafter referred to as the "Event"). By participating in the Event, you agree to comply with the following terms and conditions:

  1. Eligibility:
    • The Event is open to emerging artists residing in Texas who are currently enrolled in high school (grades 9-12).
    • All forms of 2D, 3D, and 4D visual art, including but not limited to paintings, sculptures, photographs, and digital art, are eligible for submission.
  2. Submission of Artwork:
    • Artists must submit their artwork by the specified deadline, as communicated by the Event organizers.
    • All submissions must be original works created by the artist.
    • Artists are responsible for providing accurate information and details about their artwork during the submission process.
    • All submissions must be accompanied by a description/statement.
    • All submission images must visually match the work delivered for exhibition.
  3. Selection Process:
    • The Event organizers will employ 2 professional artists to serve as blind jurors to review all submitted artwork; selecting works to be included in the exhibit.
    • Jurors will award prizes at their discretion among selected works.
    • The selection process is at the sole discretion of the organizers, and their decision is final.
  4. Artwork Delivery and Display:
    • Artists whose work is selected for the Event must ensure that their artwork is delivered to the designated location on the specified date.
    • The Event organizers will handle the installation and display of the artwork.
    • All artwork must follow the guidelines for hanging preparation provided by the Event.
    • Artists should provide any necessary installation instructions or display requirements in advance.
  5. Sales and Pricing:
    • No prices will be listed at the Event.
    • Any artist seeking to sell their work can list their contact information on their show statement for potential collectors.
    • Artwork will not be sold through the Lovejoy Gallery, and ETA is not responsible for any part of the sale of exhibited work.
  6. Liability:
    • While all reasonable care will be taken in handling and displaying the artwork, the Event organizers are not responsible for any loss, damage, or theft of artwork.
    • Artists are encouraged to obtain their own insurance coverage for their artwork if desired.
  7. Promotion and Marketing:
    • By participating in the Event, artists grant the organizers the right to use images of their artwork for promotional purposes, both online and offline.
  8. Copyright and Ownership:
    • Artists retain all copyrights and ownership of their artwork.
    • Artists are responsible for ensuring that their artwork does not infringe on the rights of any third parties.
  9. Code of Conduct:
    • All participants, including artists and visitors, are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and appropriate manner during the Event.
    • Any disruptive or inappropriate behavior may result in expulsion from the Event.
  10. Termination or Cancellation:
    • The Event organizers reserve the right to cancel or terminate the Event for any reason. In the event of cancellation, artists will be notified as soon as possible.
  11. Privacy Policy:
    • Personal information collected during the submission process will be handled in accordance with the Event's privacy policy.
    • No personal information will be shared with third parties for any reason.
  12. Amendments:
    • The Event organizers reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated to participants.
  13. Governing Law:
    • These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the state of Texas.

By participating in the "ETA - Emerging Texas Artists" art show, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these terms and conditions. Failure to comply with these terms and conditions may result in disqualification or other consequences determined by the Event organizers.
